Visiting Santa Cruz at the weekend

I will go north from las chafiras to Santa cruz on Friday, staying over for two nights, returning on Sunday.
I'd like to get familiar with this city so if anybody is about and free over the weekend I would love to meet up and take advantage of your knowledge of the place.
