Visas

As we're no longer part of the EU, you can only stay 90 days (approx 3mths) out of 180 days re: Schengan agreement (refer to Schengan app). We were hoping to get Residency, but you first have to obtain a Non Lucrative Visa which lasts 4yrs (issued by the Spanish Consulate costs over £500 pp, which is NOT refunded if they refuse you), you can then apply for Residency. Please read up on how to obtain a Non Lucrative Visa- it's an absolute nightmare!!!!!-  We were on mainland Spain in August & spoke to a woman who works for a lawyers there, which is how we found all the hoops you have to jump through!!!!!! Naffs us off, when everyone is welcomed to the UK with open arms!
