Need friendly tips on settling in Playa San Juan

I am very new to the area and currently staying in Alcala as I try to buy an apartment in Playa San Juan. My Spanish is rudimentary so much is confusing and I could use a sounding board and "ayuda" in how things are done. Do newcomers like me have a club or organization or regular short meetings over coffee?
