After searching for a very long time and asking local residents I finally discovered a wonderful pet store/groomer and boarding business which I have personally used and recommend 100% it’s called “Golden Pets” it’s located I believe in Calle Acevino 12 in La Paz, puerto De la Cruz. They are also on Facebook where you can obtain additional info. I hope this helps someone like it did me, take care.

Thanks for that. I always use a wonderful place near Icod de los Vinos, called Garras y Patas run for over 20 years by a lovely, caring English/ Spanish couple. My dog runs into their kennels which says it all for me. John also collects from Puerto if I need him too. They have a pet shop and grooming parlour in Icod. I have been going to them for over 15 years now and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Thank you for the information. Could you provide their phone number so I’ll have it in case my place closes.

Thank you,

The number is 812099. The dogs at their boarding kennels are kept separate in large runs and exercised daily. John sends me pictures via WhatsApp. The one you use in Puerto  seems to keep all the dogs together in one room so it is quite different.
