We looking to sell our existing apartment and buy another property in the region of 180,000 Euro and wondered what sort of charges the Estate Agent and Solicitor are likely to make and who pays these fees. I have been told that the procedure in Tenerife is somewhat different to the UK.
Can anyone advise us of the procedure in Tenerife?

In Tenerife the seller pays lawyer and agent. However I have had dealings with Sue in Los Cristianos Properties and they handle the legal fees without charge. The agent fee is normally 5%.
If you are selling in Tenerife the price will be €180,000 plus 5%. So the sale price is €189,000.
If you are buying and the price is €180,000 that will include the agents fees. If you purchase through Sue in Los Cristianos Properties you will have no fees.

Only your sale. You pay nothing for the buyer but the buyer pays nothing to agent

Yes you pay for your fees only.
The buyer pays their own.
