My name is Jeff.  We own a  apartment in Puerto Santiago. Can you tell me why the IBI tax has not been asked for this year.as it is normally taken from my bank by D. D. ?   We also pay a non resident  property income tax of 19 % each year. Would this be the same % as last year (19% )  or has this tax  changed Is this year ?. You normally pay this tax one year  late. hope you can help.

Hi

I have an apartment in costa del   silencio

I have a fiscal address they pay all the bills for me while I am in the uk

Probably they are  just late taken out this years.

why do you pay 19% property tax? ,do you rent out your Property  out .

If not you should only be paying 2%

Hi Rob, Thank you for your input. Our apartment is in a complex in Puerto Santiago and we have had it for 18 years and have always done our own paper work using form 210 and pay cash at the bank. We do not rent out but the tax I believe is a wealth tax  based on the property value. My be we have been paying too much over the last 18 years.

Hi

I would check that out ,I have had my apartment for 14 years on average I pay 350 -400 euros a year altogether that includes fiscal address charges about 90 euros

The only thing I pay through bank is community charge and Basura
