Hi, if you need the money over here it's far better to have your money paid directly into the bank here as you will receive full bank rate with no deductions. If you pay it into UK you will have transfer fees and get a lesser rate for your money.

I have been told that because the euro is constantly changing you can loose quite a bit having it paid into Spanish account ?

If you are using the money and spending it on a monthly basis then it's better being paid here but if you are using it for savings then it's better leaving it in  UK and changing it when required. It all depends on what you want it for. Please note I am not qualified in this subject and just giving you the benefit of 30 years experience. If you get your U.K. state pension paid directly into bank you get the true exchange rate , if you get your pension paid into U.K. bank and then transfer you loose at least 4%
